Sunny sheltered spot with well-drained soil. Pots and container planting.
Summary:
This is a french lavender with a neat and compact habit. The plant with grey-green, aromatic foliage produces fragrant deep pink flower heads each topped by pretty light pink bracts. The flowers, like all lavenders, are a magnet to bees and other beneficial insects and, as such, are particularly welcome as this is an early season flowering plant.
Lavender Lavlov Deep Pink: Lavandula stoechas Lavlov Deep Pink

Lavender Lavlov Deep pink has a compact and bushy habit making it ideal for small spaces, and also for container planting. It thrives in full sun in a very well drained soil. Whilst it is generally hardy it will need winter protection from harsh frost and excessively wet soil condition in winter especially in northern areas.
This is one of the earliest flowering lavenders, with flowers from late April/May depending on your location.

The flower stems should be pruned away regularly once the flowers are over to prolong the flowering period throughout the summer.

This is a great patio plant — ideal for tubs, containers and large hanging baskets, as well as the front of the border where the fragrance and spectacular blooms are easy to enjoy.

Pair with other silver leaf plants for an impactful mixed container planting. Try adding Trailing Silver Germander and Helianthemum 'The Bride' for a harmonious and colourful mix.

It has a balsam-like, almost antiseptic aroma, rather resembling that of rosemary, which makes it unsuitable for culinary use. It is however particularly fine as an ornamental plant and the flowerheads look especially attractive in pot pourri.

Plant alongside the more traditional English lavender for an extended flowering season.

French lavender can be made into herb tea, most usually in southern Europe, where it is used to treat nausea and headache.
